Bar Placement Scheme Aim

This placement programme is designed to give students who are bright and from a
non-traditional background an opportunity to experience life as a Barrister.

The scheme is aimed at year 12 & 13 students, before they have made the decision about what to read at university or if a career at the bar is right for them. All the chambers involved have been asked, as far as possible, to introduce their student to the full range of work undertaken by a barrister.

A structured timetable for the students has been put together, which includes talks,
court visits, intensive advocacy training and time spent shadowing a barrister.
